Does That Mean I Won't See You?

Polaroid Catie!
^Polaroid Catie!

Finally broke out the Polaroid camera after years. That was fun.

This is a picture of my neighbor and long time friend, Catie. Good times.

I had a great weekend with my family. It's been a while. Also good times.

I'm on spring break... And I feel as if I'm supposed to be excited or something, but I'm not?

Oh! And major HIGH 5 for the weather today! :D

And here are some random Polaroids of myself that Catie took!...

I Was In Love With The Place, In My Mind...

I'm beginning to really appreciate nature more. When you're looking for things to take pictures of you're obviously doing more than just glancing... You're spending more than a couple seconds looking at specific things. You look beyond it's existence and sort of cherish it's purpose, it's stature, it's pose. Everything. From a people, to animals, buildings, trees, twigs even... you learn to find different kinds of beauty in their appearance. It's so great. I sort of think that I kind of look at everything through a lens now. I literally freeze images I see and put them in an imaginary frame.

It's great. I hope that my passion for photography never ends. This has become a great hobby for me. I can't wait to really know how to use my camera. Understand how it works. Master it's complexity. Figure out all the settings. Understand when to and when not to use flash. I have a lot to learn, but I have time. I also have great people who are willing to help me learn. You know who you are. :)

I love when it looks like fall.

I love fall.

But I also cannot wait for summer. Something tells me this summer's going to be great.

I'm Not Seventeen

I'm starting to realize how much jealousy is more dangerous than any other emotion. It's something that I never really had a problem with until this past year. I think I'll be fine though.
I always am.

I've been kind of in a strange mood the past couple of days. There are various reasons as to why, but I think the biggest was how I've become ignorant to how great it is really spending time thinking. I've neglected thinking for a while. "Deep thinking," that is. The weather was great, so I decided to just take a walk outside and I took a few pictures. listened to OWEN of course. As depressing as Mike Kinsella's music is, it never ceases to calm me and my thoughts down.

I also find it really interesting how you can make decisions and feel so confident about them, and then suddenly doubt them. Kind of makes you wonder....

P.S. I don't drink or smoke, so that last picture was kind of taken to show how I feel about it. They're nothing more than just garbage to me.

You Hold Promise In Your Hands

Spent the day at the new house/farm, with the family. Michelle brought her nephew, Ryland also. That child's utterly angelic. I cannot wait till we actually move in to our new house. We're gonna get horses, dogs, bunnies, more chickens, more peacocks, ... goats, etc. etc.! Haha, I love animals. Better yet, I love how we'll have so much available free space for these animals to enjoy their home.

The Future's Never Looked So Beautiful

I've been doing a bad job with posting; I apologize.

My gosh, it was so muddy today! But... probably the best day of weather so far this year!

And yes, I am indeed pigeon toed... :/

-

The past couple of days have been extremely eventful. This past weekend was definitely one of the best weekends of my life. I was in the city on Saturday and I must say that was my most favorite visit, ever.

I have some pretty incredible people in my life. Particularly this one person.

I can't wait till I'm living in the city next year.

With a Love So Strong, Tell Me Who Could Wait...

Oh, how I've missed Photoshop....

-

Studied, went to class, came home, and went out to dinner with the family. My brother, Arash, leaves tomorrow. :/

I was telling him earlier that I think there should be floating laptops. This way you can be in ANY position and the laptop could just follow to where ever you please. I should just create this. I'd make millions.

Haha, my brother tends to make things up because I guess it's fun for people to make me think things? Or something? (I'm very gullible.) But he said... (not sure if this is true,) that they've already invented something where they put a chip in your brain and you basically think where you want your mouse to move... and it sends a message to the computer and moves the mouse... with out your hands doing anything!

Crazy, huh?

He's probably kidding. :/ That'd be cool though. I'm just not sure I'd get anything put in to my brain. That's just me though...

If Only It Was Your Heart Beat...

I love my cat.

I think going towards psychology as my major is making more and more sense each day. Maybe I'll just minor in political science?

Taking pictures with my new camera has been a very interesting experience. It can get frustrating though. As much as it might not appear, I'm quite the perfectionist. It gets so annoying when you have a thought in your head as to how you want your picture to look like and... it just doesn't cooperate when you're shooting. Some shots just don't want want to happen. I'll try to master these "thoughts" eventually...

I'm so indecisive.

On These Pillows That You Can't Get Used To...

It's 5:30 AM and I cannot sleep. Suprise. I think I need to learn to accept that some things really are better off not worrying about.

Someone the other night called me "the night." I really think I am. Heh, I sound like I'm staright out of some sci fi movie now.

Eeek. :/

And hmmm.... I also need to figure out how to change the time on my Blogger. It's two hours behind, haha.

Desperate desires and unadmirable plans...

First pic's of my sister, Sasha. She's 13 and I decided to title that picture "Facetious." Thanks for telling me about that word, Brock. :) I think I have a thing for those fake butterflies, haha. I just think they're so cute and I believe they're hand-made. That's crazy...ness. I found this ship in my mom's room. I love the nautical theme. I want one of my bath rooms, when I grow up... to be nautical themed. Hehe.

-

I love when my brother's home. My mom's in a good mood, my sister's in a good mood, everyone's just in a good mood! My dad comes home from Canada today. I have family there he was visiting. My cousin's sick and I believe she may have cancer. I'm not entirely sure.

It's really sad because she's worked so hard her entire life to have what she has and it'd be so terrible for her life to end so young. I guess prayer is really all I have to offer. It's times like these I wish I would be getting in to the medical field. I could have an actual physical impact on people's life, rather than just emotional.

-

I can't wait to shoot outside. Darn weather has to be so cold. :/

I'm so excited for Tuesday! ;)

Finally!

Hey ya'll!

It's day one with my new camera. My brother came home from San Diego today and brought me the camera I've been waiting months for, a Canon Rebel XTi. Well, I havn't been waiting months for that particular camera, but for an SLR in general. I'm so happy. So yeah, I did decide to create a Blogger for the "photo a day" thing. This is it. I'm going to be posting a new picture(s) every day. Thanks for those who stop by! :)

Understand that photography has been a passion of mine for years; however, I've never had anything other than a digital to take pictures with and the quality of course is no where compared to what you get when you're using an SLR.

My real personal and lengthy entries will remain on my other Blogger. For those of you that don't have access to that (because it is set to "private") and wish to have access to it, let me know. I'll have to you invite you.

I was limited to where I could shoot today, so I decided to take a few pictures at home and head on over to our flower shop...

And this is day one with my new camera:
So, that's that. I'm excited to start this.

Peace and photos,

Sarah

P.S. I also created a Flickr account. Here's the link: My Flickr
