The Lucky Ones Know Exactly What I Mean
^When I went out to take pictures today I was looking basically at bigger things that kind of stood out. On my way back in the house, I noticed this little abandoned yellow flower. I know that a lot of people take pictures of flowers, and they have become some what of an over used object, but none the less, they're still really pretty.
But as a "photographer," I don't feel as satisfied when I take pictures of flowers. I mean, all in all, the art was mostly done by God, I'm just capturing it with a camera.
What I liked about this one particular flower though was the fact that it stood all alone. It was the only one flower among a field of grass.
It survives and shines with its yellow beauty, while being all alone. We should learn to capture this ability and use it in our own lives. - Surviving alone that is.

"A man can no more diminish God's glory by refusing to worship Him than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling the word, 'darkness' on the walls of his cell."
-C.S. Lewis
I think, at least from my own perspective... that I'm getting better at focusing my camera. Still a long way for me to go, but I'm getting there.
I love when it's 75 degrees outside.

Summer
^Eventually
^Hope
^Lush
Summer's here and I'm ready to start using my camera again. I'm really excited. I think I'm most excited to start caring about what other's say about my pictures. Negative or not, I think it'll be good for me. Criticism in general is good for us. I'm ready to hear mine.
I still have a long way to go as far as understanding most things on my camera, but I think I'm getting there.
P.S. If you click the pictures, you'll get a larger version. :)

It's been incredibly long since my last post and I apologize. So much has honestly been going on. Everything from family stuff to school stuff; it's been utterly hectic! I've enjoyed it though because for someone that gets tired from thinking too much it's nice to just not have time to think.
The pictures that you see above are pictures that I've taken from the last time I posted up until now. Sorry for the lack of organization. School really knows how to take your time away from everything else. This summer I'm really going to make sure I use my camera. This, is a promise. :)

Does That Mean I Won't See You?
^Polaroid Catie!
Finally broke out the Polaroid camera after years. That was fun.
This is a picture of my neighbor and long time friend, Catie. Good times.
I had a great weekend with my family. It's been a while. Also good times.
I'm on spring break... And I feel as if I'm supposed to be excited or something, but I'm not?
Oh! And major HIGH 5 for the weather today! :D
And here are some random Polaroids of myself that Catie took!...

I Was In Love With The Place, In My Mind...
I'm beginning to really appreciate nature more. When you're looking for things to take pictures of you're obviously doing more than just glancing... You're spending more than a couple seconds looking at specific things. You look beyond it's existence and sort of cherish it's purpose, it's stature, it's pose. Everything. From a people, to animals, buildings, trees, twigs even... you learn to find different kinds of beauty in their appearance. It's so great. I sort of think that I kind of look at everything through a lens now. I literally freeze images I see and put them in an imaginary frame.
It's great. I hope that my passion for photography never ends. This has become a great hobby for me. I can't wait to really know how to use my camera. Understand how it works. Master it's complexity. Figure out all the settings. Understand when to and when not to use flash. I have a lot to learn, but I have time. I also have great people who are willing to help me learn. You know who you are. :)
I love when it looks like fall.
I love fall.
But I also cannot wait for summer. Something tells me this summer's going to be great.

I'm Not Seventeen
I'm starting to realize how much jealousy is more dangerous than any other emotion. It's something that I never really had a problem with until this past year. I think I'll be fine though.
I always am.
I've been kind of in a strange mood the past couple of days. There are various reasons as to why, but I think the biggest was how I've become ignorant to how great it is really spending time thinking. I've neglected thinking for a while. "Deep thinking," that is. The weather was great, so I decided to just take a walk outside and I took a few pictures. listened to OWEN of course. As depressing as Mike Kinsella's music is, it never ceases to calm me and my thoughts down.
I also find it really interesting how you can make decisions and feel so confident about them, and then suddenly doubt them. Kind of makes you wonder....
P.S. I don't drink or smoke, so that last picture was kind of taken to show how I feel about it. They're nothing more than just garbage to me.
