no, i won't step back

I'm so sorry it took me forever to post anything. I had thought that this summer would allow me a lot of time to go take pictures and really have fun with my camera. Experiment and everything.

I was wrong.

I'm working three jobs and I'm taking three summer courses.

I'm always inside during the day light, thus not allowing me to take the best pictures.

It's sad, really.

There are a whole new batch coming though. Oh, and I do update my Flickr as much as I can. At least more than here. I won't lie, heh, it's easier.

But I shall post one more soon... I just have to resize them.

what light through yonder window breaks?

These were taken on my trip to California. Most of them were taken while being in the air plane. There were many more, but these were probably my favorite.

I've realized that... and I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before, but I don't like taking pictures of the sky, or fields, or things that are natural in general. God's the creator of these things. Everyone takes pictures of these things. I guess it's hard to explain.

This summer I'm going to try to figure out a way to take pictures of things that people don't always see. I'm going to explore. Adventure. Create. Direct. Produce. Everything! I want to have something to do with what I'm taking pictures of. As much as I'm in love with clouds, stars, trees, etc. I want to photograph things that aren't just stand-still. I'm going to perhaps incorporate all the beauties in the world and do something more with them. We'll see how that goes.

California was incredible. Everything from the ocean, roads, waves, trees, animals, to the people... has it's way of truly affecting you. Positively of course. My home is here though. I truly love it here. I love Chicago. I don't know if I'm going to live here forever, but I know this is where I belong, for now.

my best suprise

So, I really think umbrellas are adorable. I took these pictures a couple days ago, but decided I'd just go ahead and edit them and post them. You can never fail with a picture of nature. Simplicity never fails.

I'm off to California in one day! The anticipation is killing me. The possibilities for amazing things to capture will be unbelievalbe.

Yay for my brother getting married! and living in California! :)

Closing In

I took the camera out tonight to attempt to take some pictures... For some reason I'm having trouble figuring out how to take a good picture while it being dark outside. The flash can be annoying and hard to work with, so it's just complicating.

I'll figure it out eventually...

While doing so I got bored and decided I'd be silly. This picture is of me being silly... Also holding my favorite notebook.

I probably write and own too many notebooks. Oh well.
